About The Fig

Cafe Style
The Fig is an exciting and popular live music venue in Manly. It is unusual for a number of reasons.

The Fig:

1. Provides a listening space with great acoustics where patrons can hear the artists without interference from background talking and other noise. However for higher energy acts, there's room for dancing. The artists are invariably blown away by the supportiveness and attentiveness of the crowd.

2. Supports live music - showcases classy emerging talent and experienced acts in a beautiful setting with cafe style seating for up to 240 patrons.

3. Provides an inexpensive night out - patrons BYO drinks and snacks, door is $15 (including booking fee).

4. Is a non-profit venue - The Manly Fig is staffed by volunteers and uses the beautiful Manly Village Church which is generously provided free of charge as a gesture in bringing the community together.

5. Proceeds go to the performers - after deducted some small running costs, the door takings go to the artists.

6. Provides a variety of music - acts can range from young singer-songwriters through to veteran bands who have been playing at festivals, parties & charity events for years. There will be a mix of styles with covers and originals.

7. Caters for a wide range of ages - this is an adult space but mature teenagers under 18 who would enjoy good music are very welcome.
