Cheryl Oxley’s professional life in music began in Sydney playing the French Horn for the Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra, the Sydney Symphony and Australian Chamber Orchestra.

After winning the Dame Joan Sutherland Scholarship & Metropolitan Opera Auditions, her soprano singing career led her from Sydney to New York and London, where she has sung roles ranging from Madame Butterfly to Aida.

She has performed for numerous heads of state, including The Sultan of Oman and the President of Kazakhstan. Her teachers include Australian heldentenor Glenn Winslade, Beverley Johnson, Vera Rosza and Esther Salaman. Cheryl has been able to pass on her learning through GoBravo Music Academy in Mosman.

After studying at the Tasmanian Conservatorium, Benjamin Oxley joined Opera Queensland, and subsequently Opera Australia, performing a variety of small roles.

His further vocal study took him to England, initially on contract with English National Opera, with whom he toured Russia. Benjamin was invited to appear in Simon Boccanegra and Tristan und Isolde with the Berlin Philharmonic conducted by Claudio Abbado, in Berlin, Salzburg and Tokyo.

He has appeared on SkyUK, ITV, Granada and the BBC, and sung for Dame Elizabeth Taylor, the Sultan of Oman, and numerous corporate events.

Benjamin continues to encourage the next generation of young singers through his work for the Sydney Eisteddfod and other singing competitions.

At the Fig, this husband & wife team will again showcase both opera & musical comedy.

With more than 25 years experience Brendan’s presentations are extremely funny, fast paced, interactive and most of all entertaining.

His aim is to WOW the audience and create atmosphere and entertainment packed with heaps of surprises, side-splitting comedy, sleight of hand magic, fire eating, illusions, amazing daring stunts and the most hilarious audience participation that will have the audience in hysterics. 

Brendan has won Six MO Awards and Seven A.C.E. Awards for Excellence in live Entertainment, Best Comedy Magician Show, Best Magic variety show. 2001 to 2011 Best Family entertainment, 2010 2011 MO AWARD, 2010 ACE AWARD, Guinness world record holder 2011 2012 2013 fastest Fire eater.

Brendan has appeared on America’s World Craziest Stunts, Footy show, Stars of Magic, Extreme Sports, Japanese Today Show, Good Morning Australia, Australian Midday Show, Hey Hey It’s Saturday, Kerianne Show and over 30 appearances on cable, Disney channel, MTV, Comedy channel and Sky channel.

This award winning professional entertainer/magician of the highest order has appeared in almost every major venue across Australia and around the globe. In his shows ranging from hilarious stand-up comedy magic to grand Illusion and spectacular production shows, Brendan has amazed audiences in Hawaii, Guam, Singapore, New Zealand, Indonesia, Greek Islands, Japan, South Korea,Vietnam Canada and the USA.

VTB are an 8 piece R&B, Soul/Funk & Rock group from Sydney’s Northern Beaches, with a great bend of material from the Motown era to classic rock and funk. Featuring powerful vocals backed by seasoned musicians, the band have built up a steady following and know how to bring an audience to their feet!

Growing up on the Northern Beaches with its rich pub culture influenced Vicky’s love of performing.  Her voice has been described as powerful, soulful and distinctive and spans a wide range of musical styles.  She cites her inspirations from favourite artists as Renee Geyer, Bonnie Raitt, Etta James, Aretha and Chrissy Hynde. She has performed over the years with many bands, sings in her own Jazz Trio and can be seen in the occasional tribute show. 

VTB  have built up a steady following over the past few years and have played venues such asDee Why RSL, Collaroy Services Beach Club, Manly Warringah Leagues Club, The Manly Fig, Balgowlah RSL, The Time and Tide Hotel, Mona Vale Hotel, The Star Room Darling Harbour, Powerhouse Museum, The Opera Point Marquee Sydney, and many, many more. They have also played at local festivals including Manly Food, Wine and Sustainability Festival 2011, 2012, 2014 & 2016. The Brookvale Show, Freshwater Fair, Manly World Food Markets plus fairs and corporate functions.
