Harry's music career spans five decades. The early years saw him in line ups including Jeff St John and The Copperwine, playing on the legendary 'Teach Me How to Fly', the musical Hair, Wendy Saddington and Blackfeather. In the mid-eighties he joined the band Australian Crawl.

He is well known for his almost 30 years as bass player with Renee Geyer, beginning with the great soul band Mother Earth and many years on the road were dedicated to Kevin Borich Express.

Along the way Harry has been in too many band line-ups to recall them all: highlights would be, Tommy Emmanuel, Barry Leef Band, Jimmy Barnes, Marcia Hines, a cherished gig with the great Joe Walsh, Billy Thorpe, House Band for the hugely successful Long Way To The Top concert series with many incredible artists, including Max Merritt, Dinah Lee, Normie Rowe, Doug Parkinson; Leo Sayer Band, Russell Morris, Brian Cadd, Ross Wilson, Phil Emmanuel and Irwin Thomas on the Let It Be Tour.

The Harry Brus Band features the honey-vocals of Eric Rasmussen; Chris Kamzela on guitar; Calvin Welch on drums and Hammond King Sam Boyd, all powered along with the ever funky Harry Brus laying down solid bass grooves.

Bonnie Kay and the Bonafides is a 6- piece tour de force of jazzy blues and roots. Take an acoustic guitar, add a crazy-cool horn section, a super-slick rhythm section, flavoured with some immensely talented soloists and some quirky songs with vocal harmonies too... It's a feast, I tell you.

With a debut album that landed in the top ten of the Australian Blues and Roots Charts and spent six months in the top twenty five, Bonnie Kay and the Bonafides have exploded onto the Australian Blues and Roots scene, performing at major festivals around the country.

Bonnie Kay, a contemporary American singer/songwriter from Philly uses acoustic, finger-picking, slide-guitar techniques to deliver her own red-hot, soulful, sassy and sexy sound.

Her Bonafide companions? Add Wayne Rigby on saxophone and flute, Catherine Golden on double bass, Davo Fester on drums, Loiuse Horwood on trumpet and Hilary Geddes on electric guitar and you've got a Bonafide Band with a capital B. That, there, is the triple truth, Ruth!
