Aria award nominees King Tide are Australia's' premier original Rock Steady Reggae gut soul band.

They have appeared at "Sydney Festival Opening Night", "Womadalaide", "Ragamuffin festival", "The Great Escape", "Peats Ridge Festival", "Wave Rock Weekender" W.A, Coast Fest", "Playground Weekender", "Reggaetown","Island Vibes Festival" "Sub Sonic Festival", "Mullum Fest", "Wollombi Fest", "Rainbow Serpent Festival". They headlined Reggaefest in Ballina with and as the backing band for Jamaican studio one legend Stranger Cole.

Rhythms Magazine 2009 - "Sure, there are plenty more dreadlocked surfers with too much time on their hands thinking reggae is cooland, so easy to play bro! King Tide are different.

Yeah, they surf, and yeah, they play reggae. But they have roots. Not only in the music they celebrate, but in their musicianship. This is a collective of vast experiences whose members have made committments to master their instruments and it shows in the intricacy of this album's arrangement. And though many in the roots 'scene'use the term 'pop' as a derogatory term, King Tide employ it to promote the fact that they actually crafts songs, rather than just jam endlessly on two chords in clouds of smoke.

Lead singer Tony Hughes, in particular grew up in the UK in an era when reggae was one of the most prominent, and indeed popular, forms of pop music. King Tide is the latest of a long line of rocksteady/ska/reggae outfits for Hughes. With its colour and energy, it also happens to be the most successful. With Hughes sounding like he was born and raised in Jamaica, and backed by guns like drummer Terepai Richmond and a full horn-section, Roots Pop Reggae delivers what it promises, and in irrestable fashion."

Steve Apirana is one of the finest gospel musicians currently working in Australasia. He is a gifted communicator, highly skilled guitarist and vocalist, with an extraordinary sense of humour. Specialising in blues and gospel, he has played alongside Daddy Cool, Black Sabbath, Split Ends, Osibisa, Fairport Convention and Average White Band, as part of the seventies band Butler. He was one of The Velvettes, sixties spoof rock band from Christchurch and has toured solo for more than twenty years as far afield as the UK, USA, and Europe. Steve captivates audiences in a way that very few can. His honesty, self - depreciating humour and excellent musicianship has audiences totally absorbed. He has released four albums over the many years of his career, the latest, This Wretched Man, in November 2011.

Ainsley is known for her performances with Steve but is herself a singer and songwriter. She recorded her first album, Autumn in 2001 and has just released a new album – Cappuccinos and Vanilla Squares. Our aim is to encourage and uplift. Our stories and songs tell of thirty years as musicians on the road, thirty years of marriage and all the triumphs and struggles we have met along the way.

Duets plays regularly in cafes, halls, churches, prisons, schools, and at house concerts, traveling anywhere we are invited. Depending on the requirements of the venue and of the audience we sing a variety of covers and a selection of our own music from six albums recorded over the last twenty five years.

Jane Germain's musical journey has taken her from her hometown, Sydney, to Western Australia, Tasmania and all the way back to her Chinese heritage (her Manchurian great-grandmother married a Scottish missionary).

She's played all the styles from folk to funk, blues to bluegrass that express her emotions and musicality in a career that's won five WA Country Music Awards, Country Arts funded headline tours of regional WA, a residency in Beijing awarded by the Australia–China Council (where she collaborated with Beijing based traditional Mongolian musicians, Hanggai on her album, Chinese Whispers) and an invitation for her to represent Australia at the 2010 World Expo in China.

Jane has recorded 6 albums, as well as being in high demand as a session player on other projects. Jane plays guitar and clawhammer banjo - and swaps between instruments for different songs.

She was invited to be a part of the great Banjo Babes International Ltd Calendar in 2018. She is the first Australian artist to be included and features as Ms May - www.banjobabescalendar.com

Jane's song Listen to What You Know was presented with the Tasmanian Composers Festival - Song of the Year award, and her latest album, Home on the Hill has been receiving rave reviews (and awarded Independent Album of the Year at the Western Australian Music Awards in February 2018).
